ELEC: Horizon and Amerigroup NJ Biggest Public Contract Recipients in 2016

Two health insurance companies led the list of public contract recipients in 2016, according to this morning’s analysis filed by the state Election Law Enforcement Commission  (ELEC).

The list also includes banks, utilities and construction firms.

State government again was the largest source of public contracts in 2016. Independent authorities, municipalities,
counties, school boards, colleges and universities, fire districts and the legislature follow in descending order, ELEC reported.
