Former state Assemblyman and 2018 Passaic GOP Clerk candidate Ron Fava has been nominated for the Passaic County Deputy Superintendent of Elections post, to replace Shona Mack-Pollack.

His nomination was received by the Senate and referred to the Judiciary Committee.

Fava, a former county prosecutor and longtime political presence in Passaic’s Republican circles, having served as the PCCRO’s legal counsel, was tapped by the Passaic GOP to run for Clerk last year after Kristin Corrado ascended to the LD40 Senate seat.  Democrat Danielle Ireland-Imhof won that race.

Fava served in the Assembly from 1976-1978, succeeded by Democrat John Girgenti.
