Filan Fires Back after Working Families Targets Van Drew
A spokesman for U.S. Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-2) responded to the news that the Working Families Party announced a new six-figure digital ad campaign targeting Van Drew and nine other Republican lawmakers who voted against the passage of the “For the People Act” (HR 1).
Van Drew had previously backed the resolution when he was a Democrat.
“This reform bill will clean-up corruption in Washington, restore our democracy, and promote bipartisanship,” Van Drew said in 2019. “We need to restore our democracy to a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.”
The “For the People Act” would expand voting rights protections and strengthen fair elections provisions across the nation. The ads are paid for by the Working Families Organization, a 501(c)4 advocacy organization affiliated with the Working Families Party.
“Apparently when Jeff Van Drew swore undying loyalty to Donald Trump, he gave up any commitment to protecting voting rights or getting money out of politics as part of the deal,” said Sue Altman, state director of New Jersey Working Families. “Van Drew’s vote against HR1 is his most shameful flip flop in a career full of them, and we are going to let voters in his district know all about it.”
H.R. 1 was approved last week in the US House of Representatives, without a single Republican vote.
Ron Filan, Van Drew’s spokesman, responded to the ad.
“Given all of the issues surrounding the 2020 election and the general dysfunction in Washington, Congressman Van Drew knows that the last thing the American people want is a bunch of beltway bureaucrats and insider politicians they don’t trust not only running our elections, but using our hard-earned money to bankroll their political campaigns,” Filan said.
If Election Theft 2020 didn’t happen, why are the Democrats and their communist front groups so desperate to permanently undo election integrity measures and unconstitutionally remove state managed elections as they illegally did in many states.

They are seeking to permanently install voting “standards” beneath most Third World countries and make rampant election fraud a feature of every election. Many Third World countries maintain identification requirements to vote in elections.
