Former Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch Discusses Democracy in Ukraine on State of Affairs

Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch (Ret.), the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, joins Steve Adubato to discuss her testimony at former President Trump’s first impeachment trial and why Ukraine’s democracy matters. Recorded 10/18/22.

Steve Adubato asks Ambassador Yovanovitch if she ever imagined she would be testifying in a presidential inquiry to impeach President Trump. Yovanovitch responds “It’s honestly the worst place for a public servant. How could I have imagined I would be caught between, not just me, all of the witnesses,  between Republicans and Democrats, between an executive branch and a legislature,  and an impeachment inquiry in advance of presidential elections.”  Yovanovitch also discusses why the conflict in Ukraine matters and is directly related to our national security.
