Democratic Party operative Daniel Pereira is going to run the campaign for Zach Wahls, who’s running for a state senate seat in Iowa.

Pereira is a former aide to U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), who worked on both the ’13 and ’14 Booker campaigns under the tutelage of Mark Matzen. Pereira also worked on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign. An independent contractor, he served as campaign manager for the Tim Dougherty mayoral campaign last year in Morristown.

Wahls announced his bid for the Iowa State Senate seat late last year.
