Today, Tanzie Youngblood, former congressional candidate for NJ-02, endorsed Amy Kennedy for Congress in New Jersey’s second district. Tanzie ran in the 2018 Democratic Primary against Jeff Van Drew as a bold progressive candidate and won nearly 20% of the vote.

“As a former candidate, I understand the challenges that are ahead and the dedication and commitment it takes to push forward. Jeff Van Drew was always a Republican masquerading as a Democrat, we cannot move forward as a community with him in power. I believe Amy Kennedy is the only candidate who has the ability to beat Jeff Van Drew in November,” said Tanzie Youngblood. “There is a social movement happening in our country and I know Amy believes in justice, fairness and a more inclusive democracy. It’s those values and beliefs that will serve us well in Congress. South Jersey deserves a leader who will work in the interest and benefit of the people they are elected to serve and that leader is Amy Kennedy.”
