Former Guadagno Staffer Dawson To Seek Westwood Council Seat
Republican Alyssa Dawson will run for a council seat in Westwood alongside incumbent Councilman Ray Arroyo. Councilman Peter Grefath has opted against seeking re-election.
The 24-year old worked closely alongside former gubernatorial candidate LG Kim Guadagno as her scheduler.
Westwood has a Democratic mayor, and five GOP members of the council and one Democrat.
Should Dawson, a lifelong Westwood resident, prevail in November, she’ll be among the youngest female elected officials in the state; Sarah Neibert, 25, was appointed earlier this year to a committee seat in Mendham Township and currently holds that title.
