Frank C. Testa Receives Backing of Judiciary Committee

The state Senate Judiciary Committee this afternoon affirmed Frank C. Testa to be a Judge of the Superior Court.

The full senate later affirmed Testa and every other nominee mentioned in this piece.

Testa is the first cousin of state Senator Mike Testa (R-1), and the grandson of the late Frank J. Testa.

Frank C. Testa received the full backing of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Senator Testa later made a point of personal privilege on the floor of the senate to thank Governor Phil Murphy and his staff.

“This means a lot to a family like ours,” said Testa, of his cousin, another third generation legal mind in the Testa legacy.

In addition the Committee expressed its full support to William E. Reynolds to be the Atlantic County Prosecutor to succeed Damon Tyner, for the term prescribed by law, ending five years from date of appointment.

Thomas Comer also received support from the committee to be a Judge of the Superior Court in Monmouth County to succeed the Honorable Daniel L. Weiss, for the term prescribed by law.

State Senator Nellie Pou (D-35) expressed concern over comments Comer made on social media.

“The credentials he has far outweigh [comments on social media],” said state Senate President Nick Scutari (D-20).

But Pou abstained.

Also receiving the Senate Judiciary Committee’s support, and later the backing of the full senate: Zenon Christodoulou, to be a member of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, to replace the Honorable Upendra Chivukula, for the term prescribed by law, currently set to expire on 3/4/2025.
