Gill: Murphy and Sweeney to Start Election Day Together Tuesday
Brendan Gill, campaign manager for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Phil Murphy, said the campaign is well-positioned to perform on Election Day, and pointed out to the naysayers frantic about a divided party that Murphy and Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-3) will rally together on Tuesday morning.
Sweeney is looking to crush the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA)-backed Fran Grenier in LD3, and will welcome Murphy at zero hour.
“We’ve had a great weekend, a great coordinated campaign effort consisting of tens of thousands of canvassers,” Gill told InsiderNJ. “We have participated in numerous GOTV rallies around the state, in Morris, Middlesex, Bergen, Essex, and Monmouth counties.”
Murphy is scheduled to be in Sayreville later today.
“We will be with Senate President Sweeney on Election Day morning,” Gill added.
That event is in Swedesboro.
“There’s not a county that we haven’t touched,” said the campaign manager, noting coordinated efforts everywhere, including in those deep-set pockets of South Jersey, in LD2, for example, and other battleground districts.
