Update: On Tuesday morning, the county announced 6 additional cases, for a total of 19. 

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services and Office of Emergency Management have announced five more positive COVID-19 cases in Gloucester County on Monday afternoon.

This brings Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 cases to 13.

The ninth case is a 47-year-old female from Woolwich Township.

The tenth case is an 18-year-old female from East Greenwich.

The eleventh case is a 55-year-old female from Washington Township.

The twelfth case is a 60-year-old male from Glassboro.

The thirteenth case is a 59-year-old male from Wenonah.

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had.

At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. A mask should only be worn if a healthcare professional recommends it.

Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.

The statewide COVD case count is 2844, with 27 fatalities, 359 negative test results, and 94 persons under investigation by the state lab, according to the NJDOH as of 2pm Monday. Of the fatalities, five were males. Two females. Their age ranges were between 57 and 91. Two of the individuals had pre-exisisting conditions, said state Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli.
