Under The Gold Dome Monday; Assembly To Vote on State Worker Back-Pay Bill

The New Jersey Statehouse and Capitol Building In Trenton

The Assembly is slated to meet today for a voting session.  Among the bills to be considered are the shutdown back-pay bill (which passed the Senate earlier in July), legislation that would dedicated a percentage of the tobacco tax to anti-smoking initiatives, two bills that would keep state parks open during shutdowns and prohibit use of certain state gov’t property during shutdowns (hint: Island Beach State Park), and two resolutions opposing the Governor’s mental health reorganization plan and opposing his Office of Information Technology reorganization plan.
