Gopal To Earp: Don’t Use My Contribution For Price Campaign
In the aftermath of Ocean County freeholder candidate Teddy Price’s endorsement of GOP Senate candidate Bob Hugin, LD11 Senator Vin Gopal is asking the Ocean County Democrats not to use any of the $10,000 he contributed to the county party towards Price’s campaign, asking instead they use it only for local candidates.
Gopal fired off a letter to Ocean County Democratic Chair Wyatt Earp (below) along with the following statement: ‘With the recent endorsement of Ocean County Freeholder candidate, Teddy Price, Bob Hugin needs to explain how he can happily accept support from someone who has faced criminal charges in three separate incidents including, assault and battery of a police officer and resisting arrest. This follows an earlier endorsement from a New Jersey Assembly Member who proudly stood with a confederate flag and used sexist and derogatory terms to describe his female political opponent. Hugin’s acceptance of these endorsements are extremely troubling. You cannot claim to want to represent all New Jerseyans if you align yourself with these type of individuals.’
Earlier today, Senator Singleton fired off a statement blasting Hugin and Price.
