Gottheimer Rallies Middlesex Democrats

Edison, arguably the heart of Middlesex County, today was the site of a major pre-election GOTV rally with U.S. Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-5), a prospective gubernatorial candidate. In a room full of nearly 400 local Democrats, including Middlesex County Democratic Organization Committee members, elected officials, seniors, and community leaders, Gottheimer laid out the stakes of this election and the importance of voting this November.

The event was vibrant with Democrats from across Middlesex County excited to meet Gottheimer, hear his vision for New Jersey, and discuss what’s at stake.

The audience then joined Gottheimer as he led a procession of voters who walked next door to cast their ballot on the first day of in person early voting.

“I was impressed with his understanding of the issues,” said Judy Ji, a committeewoman who won her election in 2023. “Josh is down to earth, he understands the challenges we are facing and has rational solutions.”

Some of the notable guests at the event included Edison Councilman Richard Brescher. Nearly 30 Middlesex County Committee members were also present.

“After a very long time, a politician inspired me today,” said Jayshree Patel. “I’m sold. He articulated everything on the line this November. I hope he considers running for Governor.”

With a population of over 100,000, Edison will undoubtedly play an outsized role in the 2025 gubernatorial race. With today’s event, Gottheimer demonstrated he will be a force in this town, should he decide to run for Governor.

  1. There isn’t a pro-Israeli genocide or US taxpayer funded Netanyahu war that Gottheimer hasn’t supported. He should be defeated in Congress from NJ-5th Congressional district and G-d help us if he is ever elected as Governor. Be on guard folks.

He is the biggest recipient of pro-Israeli money and from AIPAC who in Congress does what’s best for Israel’s national security and foreign policy even if it means America not being an honest broker in the Middle East conflict.

  2. Wow the censorship on this site is amazing. You can’t claim to be a political website then censor political comments even when they are respectful because you are afraid it might offend someone.

It is the height of hypocrisy that your article talks about Josh Gottheimer, yet censor those very comments pointing out that he is one of the few NJ politicians who has been the most pro-war, pro-Israel hawk that has steered US foreign policy to disaster in the Middle East.

Yes facts can be inconvenient for some but pointing out that AIPAC has given the most money to Gottheimer and Sen. Menendez in the NJ delegation shows why people are so upset at VP Harris and President Trump for supporting Israel.
