Governor Enlisting Progressive Groups’ Aid as He Prepares for Presser

TRENTON – The allies of Governor Phil Murphy are mobilizing progressives to stand with the Governor at his eagerly awaited 1:30 p.m. press conference as he prepares to announce his budgeting intentions.

While most sources don’t anticipate a full-blown veto, a source close to the budget-beam pitched Governor insisted he does not intend to get cold-cocked off the field, and described him at this point as in “charge-the-mound mode.”
