Governor Murphy: Third NJ Resident With Coronavirus Dies

A third death of an individual with coronavirus has died, Governor Murphy announced on Monday evening.  The man, in his 90s, was being treated at Hackensack University Medical Center in Bergen County.

The county has the highest case count of coronavirus in the state, at 61 cases as of Monday evening.

On Tuesday morning, Saddle Brook Mayor White confirmed that the deceased was a Saddle Brook resident.

The Governor announced the first death, a man from Bergen County, on March 10th; the second death was announced on March 12th.

On Monday afternoon, state officials reported that the coronavirus presumptive positive case count had risen from 98 on Sunday to 178.
