Governor Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy To Hit The Campaign Trail In All 21 Counties Up Until Election Day

NJ Governor Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy are scheduled to speak at Senator Cory Booker's 2020 presidential campaign kickoff rally.

TRENTON, NJ — Governor Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy have begun an aggressive campaign schedule in the run up to the 2018 midterm election, with the duo scheduled to visit all 21 New Jersey counties before November 6th. The Governor is working closely with Senator Menendez and the New Jersey Democratic State Committee to connect with grassroots activists and boost Democratic turnout during the final two weeks of the campaign season.

“This election is the most important in memory and we absolutely cannot afford to sit on the sidelines, which is why I’m excited that Tammy and I will be working hard every day to help re-elect Senator Menendez and Democrats all across our state,” said Governor Murphy. “We need to take back the House of Representatives and stop the dangerous Trump agenda, and that work starts right here in New Jersey.”

“Ever since our devastating loss in the last presidential election, Democrats have been hungry to fight back against President Trump and turn the tide in Washington,” said First Lady Tammy Murphy. “This is our opportunity to build a Blue Wave and I’m excited we’re doing everything we can to make it happen.”

“The New Jersey Democratic State Committee is working closely with campaigns around the state to help ensure Democratic victories on November 6th, and having the Governor and First Lady hitting the campaign trail will be a significant boost to those efforts,” said NJDSC Executive Director Liz Gilbert.
