Graziano to Serve as New Director of Policy at Chemistry Council of NJ

The Freeholder fight unites more than it delights.

Executive Director Dennis Hart announced today that Ben Graziano will join the Chemistry Council of New Jersey later this month as its new director of policy.

“We are thrilled that Ben will join our team to help direct the Council’s policy efforts and assist on managing our growing portfolio of issues that require our industry’s attention and input,” Dennis Hart said about the new appointment.

Graziano joins the Council after more than 10 years of legislative and policy experience both at the federal and state level. Until recently, Ben was the senior policy analyst in the General Assembly Majority Office.  Prior to joining the Assembly Majority Office, Graziano was the legislative director for the 7th Legislative District, working for both Assemblymen Jack Conners and Dr. Herb Conaway.

As director of policy, Graziano will assist the executive director and the CCNJ team in formalizing the Council’s policy initiatives and coordinating advocacy strategy on complex legislative and regulatory issues.

“His work as an aide for the Commerce and Economic Development; Financial Institutions and Insurance; and Telecommunications & Utilities Committees will be an asset to our team as we navigate the legislative process on behalf of our member companies.”

In recent years, the Council has been engaged with energy policy and legislation, corporate tax and incentives, and increasing regulatory challenges for the industry.

As part of his appointment, Graziano will also be a member of CCNJ’s subsidiary, State Street Associates, a lobbying firm.
