Keith Hahn today announced his retirement from the police department to focus on a 2021 run for mayor of Edison.

“It is a decision I have not taken lightly but I know it is the right thing to do,” Hahn wrote on Facebook.

A Republican who campaigned unsuccessfully for mayor in 2017, Hahn is the former chair of the local Democratic Party in Edison.
