Larry Hamm today at 3:40 p.m. delivered petitions containing more than 2500 signatures to the NJ Division of Elections office at 20 West State Street in Trenton.

The petitions are for his U.S. Senate Candidacy in the June 2nd Democratic Primary.

“I was met there by Blair Silver, a friend and supporter [and a descendant of Nat Turner],” said Hamm,  NJ chairman of the Bernie Sanders Campaign.

“My thanks to all the volunteers, campaign workers, and everyone who made this moment possible by going out and getting the petitions signed,” said Hamm. “It was a remarkable all volunteer effort. This was our first submission. We plan to submit a second batch of petitions before the deadline on March 30th. I needed the signatures of 1000 registered voters who are residents of New Jersey in order to be placed on the ballot for the June 2nd Democratic Primary Election.”

Hamm said his submitted petitions represented about half the people who took petitions.

“We are going to collect the rest of the petitions this week and submit them sometime early next week,” said the U.S. Senate hopeful running to unseat incumbent U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), who backs frontrunner Joe Biden in the Democratic Presidential Primary.
