Holley Plants Caucus Flag for Coughlin and Greenwald

Assemblyman Jamel Holley says that real social justice accomplishments in NJ were imminent before Gov. Phil Murphy went to war with leaders in the NJ legislature. He says that if the full marijuana legalization bill had passed, the social justice effects would have been much greater than with the current expungement effort.

Assembly Democrats will congregate tomorrow in Trenton to select who will be the next Speaker and majority leadership team.

Victorious in Ld20, Assemblyman Jamel Holley (D-20) said current Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin and Majority Leader Lou Greenwald will have no problem being reappointed.

“They deserve it,” Holley proclaimed. “They have led our caucus but most importantly this state very well. Just look at all the accomplishments we have done as a governing body. Speaker Coughlin and Leader Greenwald have led with compassion and focused on real solutions on what this state is faced with.

“I will be supporting them,” the assemblyman added. “They will have no challenge. Along with their leadership and our united Democratic caucus we have done well by New Jersey. We’ve only just begun.”
