Hudson County Democratic Organization Chairwoman Amy DeGise said she enthusiastically backs New Jersey Democratic State Committee Chairman John Currie in his campaign for a new term.

DeGise is calling for Democrats throughout the state to come together to pass progressive legislation and win elections. Chairwoman DeGise follows Governor Phil Murphy in endorsing Currie.

“From the day the Democratic county committee members elected me as their new leader, Chairman John Currie has been an incredible mentor and his guidance helped our team hit the ground running this Fall as we worked to re-elect Senator Menendez,” said Chairwoman DeGise. “I agree wholeheartedly with Governor Murphy that there is no one better equipped to lead our party than Chairman Currie, and the evidence is easy to see — from the investments NJDSC has made in county parties under his direction to the tremendous victories we won together in November throughout the state. I am fully in support of John Currie and I hope that Democrats throughout the state will recognize that he is the right choice to lead our party forward.”
