Hurley: Formica Dropping out of LD2 Contest

“Hurley in the Morning” has learned and confirmed that Atlantic County Freeholder Frank Formica is dropping out of the race for the Republican Nomination for the New Jersey General Assembly – District 2.

According to an exclusive Hurley report:

Formica’s reasons pertain to developments in his professional and personal life.

Formica was a front-runner to earn one of the two nominations.

This leaves Atlantic County Freeholder John Risley, former Brigantine Mayor Phil Guenther and Somers Point City Councilman James Toto competing for the two Republican Nominations.

The two successful candidates will face Democrat incumbents Vince Mazzeo and John Armato.
