Indivisible NJ Endorses Kamala Harris

New Jersey chapters of Indivisible joined the national Indivisible Action’s endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris for president. The National Indivisible organization endorsed Kamala Harris after 93% of polled members cast their support.

“Kamala Harris has been a key partner to the unprecedented success of the Biden administration. Vice President Harris has provided an unwavering commitment to equality, justice, and freedom, including women’s reproductive freedom,” according to a statement released by Indivisible Lambertville, New Hope. The New Jersey groups who have registered endorsements include Lawrence Citizen Activists, Indivisible Lambertville, Indivisible Central NJ, Indivisible Highland Park, Indivisible Rahway, NJ 11th for Change, SOMA Action, ONE NJ, and Indivisible Two Rivers.

“All In For Harris” events across the country will capitalize on the widespread grassroots energy behind Harris’s rise to the top of the presidential Democratic ticket. The focus is on organizing events to support swing states and districts. Activities sponsored by New Jersey Indivisible groups include deep canvassing, postcard parties, Indivisible’s Neighbor-to-Neighbor program, and volunteer recruitment. Indivisible groups also participate in rallies supporting Women’s Reproductive Health Care, Fair Pay, Affordable Housing, as well as advocating against the Republican’s Project 2025.

In New Jersey, many groups such as Indivisible Cranbury, OneNJ7, and Indivisible Two Rivers have joined together to write postcards in support of Andy Kim, who is running for New Jersey Senate to replace disgraced Senator Bob Menendez, as well as for Sue Altman, who is running against Tom Kean, Jr., for Congress in District 7. Both Kim and Altman are Indivisible-endorsed candidates. The Garden State’s Indivisible groups are also writing postcards to swing states, advocating for voter registration as well as other general election information.

Indivisible’s national website mission statement describes itself as “a grassroots movement of thousands of local Indivisible groups with a mission to elect progressive leaders, rebuild our democracy, and defeat the Trump agenda.” More about indivisible can be found at:  https://indivisible.org.
