Insider NJ Presents Tom Barrett’s New Jersey Irish American Leaders 2023 List
INSIDERNJ’s annual tribute to St. Patrick’s Day is our way of acknowledging the accomplishments and contributions of New Jersey’s Irish Americans.
This year’s list, with its dozens of newcomers and veterans alike, offers profiles of those who take pride in their Irish American heritage.
After all, as is the custom, the “Irish” never go anywhere empty handed and history (and what we learn from it) often illuminates the very events that unfold before our eyes.
Tom Barrett, compiler of the list, would like our readers to know it is purely subjective. We hope you enjoy it.

Tom,
You can’t have a list of Irish notables from NJ without Jim Dugan. The architect of so much and the strongest State Chairman the state ever had. Brendan certainly would have agreed with that. He has been on the list until this one.
Ruth
Erica Daughtry shouldn’t be on the list at all Albio is not even a Congressman anymore.
You are missing Grace M. Hanlon, Executive Director of Jersey Shore Partnership! She holds a dual citizenship! ☘️🇺🇸
