Jersey City School Board Election: FairerNJ Up with First Digital Ad “Storm”
The FairerNJ PAC released its first digital ad today for the Jersey City Board of Education election this November. The ad, entitled “Storm” focuses on the financial crisis in Jersey City’s schools and calls out the current Board of Education for what it describes as “lack of sustainable long-term solutions and its effect on the education of our children.”
“As voters go to the polls this November, we believe that it is important for the public to know that the Jersey City Board of Education is engaged fiscal gimmicks and political shenanigans instead of doing what is right for our children and taxpayers. Not only are the board’s actions irresponsible, but the cost our children and taxpayers will pay because of the failures of this board is tragic. It’s time for big changes on the Jersey City Board of Education” said Mark Matzen, campaign chair.
Fairer NJ, he said, supports responsible policies that put the education Jersey City’s children first. That means responsible long term financial and programmatic planning that will position Jersey City’s schools to provide the best education to its children now and for the long term, Matzen said.
Fairer NJ is a registered Political Action Committee with the New Jersey’s Election Law Enforcement Committee and will report all of its activity in accordance with New Jersey’s election laws.
