Michael “Billy” Bisogno, longtime resident of Jersey City, will kick off his Ward E council campaign on Tuesday, May 22 at 6 p.m. outside of Grove Street PATH station. If successful, the 35-year-old would be the first openly gay person to serve on the Jersey City Council.

As a broadcaster, Bisogno hosted the Emmy nominated series "In the Life" on PBS and has been a cultural commentator on CNN, HLN and Showbiz Tonight. He sits on the Board of Hudson Pride Connections Center and on the Jersey City Diversity and Inclusion board.
