North Brunswick, N.J. (Oct.26, 2021) – JNESO District Council 1, representing more than 5,000 healthcare workers, is proud to announce the endorsement of 83 candidates for New Jersey legislative offices. All seats in New Jersey’s State Senate and Assembly are up for election this year.

The JNESO Board of Directors, unanimously voted to endorse these candidates after a thorough review of voting records and public positions on top health care issues.

“We’ve examined their voting records in detail, and these candidates have shown a thorough understanding of issues important to health care workers, especially during the pandemic where our members take front-line roles in protecting public health,” said Douglas Placa, executive director of JNESO.

“Many of these candidates have spoken out on behalf of healthcare workers. Our members face incredible challenges, from personal protective equipment, to exhausting shift work and inadequate staffing, not to mention concerns for their own health and safety, and for their loved ones.”

“These candidates grasp the issues that make a difference to our membership,” said Placa. “They deserve our support for standing with patients and healthcare workers.”
