Alert to the volatility of the cycle, Bergen County Democratic Committee Chairman Paul Juliano has been as active as any county party chairman this season.

He’s hosted his dinners and cocktail parties.

This morning, he hosted a breakfast in support of Councilman John Hogan’s (son) Northvale mayoral candidacy.

Staged at the Northvale Classic Diner, the $300 per-person function included Hogan’s local Democratic slate: Council President Lou Delisio and council candidate Suzana Nikac.

Three former mayors dating back to the 1970s issued endorsements for the Hogan-led slate, which is less a money play than a battleground Bergen election.

according to a source, “The chairman [is] taking is serious and pulling out all the stops.”
