Just Call Him Chairman Stingray
There aren't too many people in this state who can convincingly wear the tag "Corvette Specialist," or who could pick a vintage Stingray out of a lineup, let alone get behind the wheel of one.
But Democratic State Committee Chairman (and Passaic County Democratic Committee Chair) John Currie can.
That's the chairman pictured above at Hawthorne Chevrolet in a newspaper ad from 1976, the same year Jimmy Carter defeated Gerald Ford to win the presidency.
Surprising how little has changed in the last 40 years. He's still a used car salesman.
I just love this! Stingray's were the only car I would purchase back in the day! LOL I can just hear our conversations about them now. :-)
