Jim Keady, the seaside activist who got under Governor Chris Christie’s skin and ran once already unsuccessfully for a shot at U.S. Rep. Tom MacArthur (R-3) now wants a crack at Smith’s seat.

“This is Jim Keady,” the Democrat who lost last year’s Democratic Primary wrote in an email blast. “I am writing you because I am running for Congress against Chris Smith in NJ’s 4th District in 2018. I am gearing up to begin online outreach for the campaign – share my platform, let you know about events, do online fundraising – and I want to make sure that you would still like to be on my email list.”
