Kean Names Corrado Deputy Whip, Replacing Addiego

Corrado

Senate Republican Leader Tom Kean today announced that Senator Kristin Corrado (R-Passaic, Bergen, Essex) will join the Senate Republican Caucus Leadership as Deputy Whip.  Corrado will replace Senator Dawn Marie Addiego, who earlier this week switched parties.

“Senator Corrado has proven to be an effective and respected leader in our caucus, and I’m proud to expand her role as a member of our Senate Republican leadership team,” Senator Kean (R-Union, Somerset, Morris) said. “Most recently, she has been a courageous and compassionate voice of reason on the special committee investigating the Murphy Administration’s hiring practices.

“She has a strong history of being an admirable public servant, and the experience and knowledge necessary to move our caucus forward. I know that in this new role, Senator Corrado will continue to be a strong advocate for families and taxpayers throughout the state we are proud to call home. I thank her for stepping up and joining us in our fight for a brighter, more prosperous future for all New Jerseyans.”

“I am honored to join the Senate Republican Leadership team as Deputy Whip,” Senator Corrado said. “I’m eager to immediately begin working with my colleagues in leadership. Together, we will convey our values and beliefs to our fellow caucus members, and the people we serve around the state. We have a number of challenges ahead of us, but as long as we remain steadfast in our shared commitment to making New Jersey a better place for all, there is no challenge we can’t overcome. I am truly grateful for this opportunity.”

The Senate Republican Leadership Team includes:
• Deputy Minority Leader – Senator Bob Singer (R-30)
• Conference Leader – Senator Anthony Bucco (R-25)
• Deputy Conference Leader – Senator Chris Brown (R-2)
• Whip – Senator Joe Pennacchio (R-26)
• Deputy Whip – Senator Kristin Corrado (R-40)
• Budget Officer – Senator Steven Oroho (R-24)
