As in-person early voting begins, U.S. Rep. Andy Kim (D-3) rallied voters across New Jersey, making the case for bold change for working families by Democrats up and down the ballot.

During the week, Kim held a roundtable discussion with the Alliance Center for Independence and their voter advocacy group, REV UP NJ, to discuss issues facing people with disabilities in NJ. In Congress, Rep. Kim cosponsored the Health Equity for People with Disabilities Act and the Stop the Wait Act, which would ensure that people with disabilities have better access to benefits, with shorter wait times. Andy also participated in the Central Labor Council Labor walk in Burlington County where he met with local union members. He was joined by Assemblyman and NJ-03 congressional candidate Herb Conway, NJ AFL-CIO President Charlie Wowkanech, and Laurel Brennan, Secretary-Treasurer of the NJ AFL-CIO.

Looking to bring a new generation of New Jersey leadership to the United States Senate, Kim continued his college fireside chat tour and met with students from New Jersey City University and Montclair State University. During these visits, he discussed the need to lower student debt and the high cost of living for young people overall, his background in foreign policy and how that has prepared him for the Senate, and the need to protect human rights at the federal level.

As ‘get out the vote’ efforts ramped up, Kim spent the week lifting up candidates, supporters, and voters across the state. On Friday, Kim was joined in Perth Amboy by Mayor Helmin Caba and Make the Road Action, one of the largest and most influential immigrant advocacy groups in New Jersey, where they announced their full endorsement of Andy for United States Senate before launching a bi-lingual canvass to speak to Perth Amboy voters.

“As a son of immigrants who’s also married to an immigrant, I am committed to make New Jersey a place that supports immigrant families with dignity, fairness, and respect,” said Kim. “I believe we can make our country stronger by finding real solutions for a fair immigration process that includes a pathway to citizenship and a secure border instead of the demonization and divisiveness we see in politics today. I look forward to working with organizations like Make the Road Action to continue fighting for a pathway to citizenship and to stop family separations that tear apart our communities.”

Kim spent Saturday morning in Union City where he was joined by Mayor Brian Stack and Congressman Rob Menendez to mark the first day of early voting and launch a GOTV canvass with volunteers ready to knock doors throughout Union City for Democrats up and down the ballot. He then spoke at an early vote rally hosted by Union County Democratic Committee and Cranford Democrats before holding a joint GOTV rally with Sue Altman and special guest Senator Bill Bradley in Hunterdon County with 100’s of supporters ready to send Andy to the U.S. Senate and flip NJ-07.

As a son of immigrants and a graduate from New Jersey public schools, Kim said he has been proud to represent his home community in Congress. Kim is a young father of two little boys and represents a new generation of leadership stepping up to fix our broken politics. As a former national security official, he previously advised President Obama on counterterrorism and worked for four-star generals in Afghanistan.

Kim went on to win a congressional district that Trump won twice by defeating three consecutive self-funding republican millionaires. In his three terms in Congress, Kim has worked hard to lower costs for New Jersey families, help support small businesses through challenging times, and has battled House Republicans in the fight to restore protections for women in the aftermath of the 2022 Dobbs decision. Andy is now stepping up to run for senate to fight against corruption and restore integrity to public service.
