Clinton Town Mayor Janice Kovach offered the following letter of support to Warren County Democratic Committee Chairman Tom Palmieri:

To Whom it May Concern;

I have known Tom Palmieri for 15 years, and over those years he has always shown a professionalism to all that he worked with.  He has never treated any woman differently and is one of the men who has done all he can to support women in the political and government sphere.

His commitment to empowering women began with his daughters and continues throughout his tenure as county chair.  He shows his dedication to empowering women every time he stands up and encourages women to run – he did on both of my campaigns; first as an assembly candidate and second as a congressional candidate.

I am adding my voice and name in support of Tom because of the person he is – a caring and thoughtful individual who does not deserve to have his character or integrity maligned.

The mayor wrote her letter in the aftermath of a Politico Pro today piece detailing an allegation by Sussex County Democratic Chair Kate Rotondi – apparently set to testify before Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg’s (D-37) committee – against Palmieri. The story details trouble between the two north western frontier chairs toiling mostly obscurely in minority party organizations in GOP counties.
