PARAMUS – They were tallying votes here in the IBEW local, and Saddle Brook Chief Robert Kugler’s daughter made her way to the round table to count paper ballots for her father.

“She works at the sheriff’s office,” Kugler told InsiderNJ.

He wants to lead the outfit, but sources say Bergen County Democratic Committee Chairman Lou Stellato likely mustered sufficient support for Kugler’s rival, former Englewood Det. Sgt. Anthony Cureton.

Bergen County Freeholder Tracy Zur arrived.

The counting continued.
