LAN also urges people to vote “Yes” on Question 1 to legalize adult-use cannabis in New Jersey on the ballot’s back. As a coalition member of NJ CAN 2020, LAN has previously announced its support for it. Hispanic prosecution has been a goal of cannabis prohibition since its inception. Thus, it is a chance to significantly advance social justice in New Jersey and stop police from arresting Latinos.
LAN is a broad, statewide coalition of Latino organizations dedicated to political empowerment, the promotion of civil rights, and the elimination of disparities in education, health, and employment. It was founded in 2009.
