Democrat Vin Gopal went up on cable television today with his first ad of the general election campaign season, a positive spot that focuses on his roots in the 11th District.

It’s a $130,ooo ad buy.

Gopal is vying for the senate seat currently occupied by state Senator Jennifer Beck (R-11).

Noting Gopal’s expressed opposition in the spot to Trenton insiders, a source close to Beck’s campaign pointed out that Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-3) endorsed Gopal on day one of the candidate’s senate campaign.
