The speaking schedule for this week’s Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association (FMBA) convention at the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City (pictured above) includes LD21 Democratic Party challengers Lisa Mandelblatt and Stacey Gunderman, presumably because they have the organization’s endorsement in that legislative battleground.
Assembly Republican Leader Jon Bramnick (R-21) and Assemblywoman Nancy Munoz (R-21) are running for reelection in LD21.
The Republicans this summer secured the backing of the powerful New Jersey Education Association (NJEA); and just yesterday, the Professional Firefighters of New Jersey backed the Republican ticket.
This morning, Bramnick and Munoz also secured the backing of the police.
Among others (see above) LD8 Democratic challengers Gina LaPlaca and Mark Natale are also on the speaking schedule at the convention, again indicative of the organization’s support.
LaPlaca and Natale are running against incumbent Assemblyman Ryan Peters (R-8) and his running mate, retiring Sheriff Jean Stanfield.
