Promoted to chair of the Assembly Budget Committee in the new regime, Assemblywoman Eliana Pintor Marin (D-29) has also advanced on the county government totem pole with the elevation of Lieutenant Governor-elect Sheila Oliver to head up the state office of the Department of Community Affairs.

The longtime passport division notary manager for Essex County Clerk Chris Durkin, Pintor Marin will take Oliver’s old job, assistant business administrator for Essex County.

On the political side, Essex County Freeholder Britnee Timberlake is poised to replace Oliver in the assembly LD34 seat.
