LD40 Fun: Bubba Gums Up Mailer for Son and Bergen GOP Chairman
An LD40 mailer (pictured above) that contains the endorsement of former state Senator J.L. Bubba for his son and Bergen County Republican Chairman Paul DiGaetano misspells the name “DiGaetano” and neglects to mention the third candidate on the DiGaetano-Bubba team.
That third member is Norm Robertson, who defeated Bubba’s father for the senate seat in 1997.
The gaffe not only underscores a longstanding rivalry but shows the disadvantage of the DiGaetano team, which has raised about $50,000 to $350,000 raised by the team of Passaic County Clerk Kristin Corrado.
