Former Governor Tom Kean did a robocall for U.S. Rep. Leonard Lance (R-7), which went districtwide Friday as the battleground intensifies.

The incumbent Republican wants to defeat Democratic challenger Tom Malinowski.

"He is a lifelong resident of our district," Kean said of Lance, offering a strongly worded endorsement.

"New Jersey needs him back in Congress," said the former governor.
