Live Stream: Governor Murphy’s Daily COVID-19 Briefing: May 26th

Murphy

The statewide COVID-19 count is 155,764 cases and 11,144 fatalities.  The Governor said the numbers on Tuesday are distorted by the holiday weekend, but the trends continue ‘very meaningfully in the right direction’; the spread as slowed considerably.  New hospitalization cases continue to go down (down 1,500 in the past two weeks; ICU patients are down over 400 cases from two weeks ago), as do cases in long-term care facilities.  ‘We are way down from our peak’, said the Governor. It’s been ‘constant and undeniable’, with ‘many more good days than bad’.
