Heading into the final week of the May 8th election season,  the campaign of challenger John Pallone in a baseball-themed mail piece is hitting longtime incumbent Mayor Adam Schneider on his connectivity to Republicans, namely President Donald J. Trump and Governor Chris Christie, whom Schneider endorsed for reelection in 2013.

The Schneider Team sees Pallone – younger brother of U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone (D-6) – as a neophyte who refused to face Schneider face to face in two scheduled encounters. The opponents – and a third candidate, School Board Member Avery Grant – will have a chance to speak on the same stage this coming Tuesday night.
