Majority of Englewood Democratic Council Back Gottheimer for Guv

Today, Englewood Council President Lisa Wisotsky, Councilmembers Ken Rosenzweig, and Dan Tokayer endorsed Josh Gottheimer for Governor. Their announcement follows endorsements from Englewood Mayor Michael Wildes and Democratic Chairperson Melvina Cobb. These latest endorsements add to Josh’s growing list of more than 100 endorsements from Bergen County leaders.

Council President Wisotsky highlighted Gottheimer’s determination to get things done for Jersey families.

“From addressing the cost of living and expanding access to affordable childcare to making our communities safer, Jersey deserves a leader who will deliver commonsense solutions for hardworking families,” Council President Wisotsky said. “That’s why I’m all in for Josh. He is a principled fighter and problem solver who always puts the needs of Jersey families first.”

Councilman Rosenzweig credited Gottheimer for his strong record of protecting our Jersey Values.

“I firmly believe that Josh is the right leader to pull Jersey out of its affordability crisis. He understands the challenges hardworking Jersey families face and will relentlessly fight to make life more affordable,” Councilman Rosenzweig said. “With Josh at the helm, I am confident he will help us live up to our Jersey Values and make it easier for every family to have a fair shot.”

Councilman Dan Tokayer recognized Gottheimer’s long history of bringing back tax dollars to Jersey.

“Josh’s leadership in Congress has brought tangible results for his residents. From clawing back millions of dollars to improve infrastructure and help towns pay for school meals to supporting small businesses, Josh has been a true fighter for our communities,” said Councilman Dan Tokayer. “I know that Josh will deliver on making life more affordable for Jersey families, which is why I am proud to stand with him in this race.”
