Malinowski V. Kean: Dems Hold Onto Lead in Ugly CD7 Contest

Malinowski, right, and Kean.

These numbers are changing daily and Republicans are turning out in larger numbers late as a consequence of a judge’s dismissal of President Trump’s anti-VBM lawsuit.

But in battleground CD7, incumbent U.S. Rep. Tom Malinowski (D-7) appears to have an edge over Republican challenger Tom Kean, Jr. in one of the ugliest contests of the season, with five days to go before Nov. 3rd Election Day.

Democrats have a 100,651 to 82,119 advantage over Republicans so far in this vote-by-mail election. Of course, Kean in most of his messaging has made a plea to building bridges and we don’t know at this moment the specific intentions of 70,590 unaffiliated voters who have turned in their ballots to date, which reflect in the numbers below.

Again, based on strictly a head-to-head partisan collision, Malinowski has a firm edge.

Here’s a breakdown of the district to date, which again, provides only a snapshot.
