Former Paterson Councilman Alex Mendez, who lost last year in his bid for mayor of Paterson, is among the stout backers of his friend, incumbent West New York Mayor Felix Roque.

As Roque fights for a third term as mayor against the Hudson County Democratic Organization (HCDO), Mendez has been assisting the mayor at Roque ‘s campaign headquarters.

Mendez came in second last year in his own fight with the county Democratic Party establishment, which backed winner Mayor Andre Sayegh.
