SOMERVILLE – Running with eight days to go, CD-7 Democratic challenger Tom Malinowski welcomed U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY) to the battleground district this evening as he and his team organized out of this centrally located office.

Fifty to 60 Malinowski backers prepared canvassing packets, part of what insiders say is Malinowski’s a highly disciplined team of volunteers mobilizing to help their candidate pick off incumbent U.S. Rep. Leonard Lance (R-7).

Meng serves as the vice chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

Of Malinowski, Somerset County Democratic Committee Chair Peg Schaffer said, “He is a highly organized candidate with A level support.”
