Mercer Young Dems Chair Theo Siggelakis Launches Fundraising Firm
Mercer Young Dems Chair Theo Siggelakis, a former staffer to Assemblyman Dan Benson, announced the launch of his fundraising firm, Broad Street Strategy. Still working closely as Benson’s main political operative, Siggelakis said, “I never anticipated leaving government so soon, but there is a real need for more fundraisers in New Jersey. I now have quite a few clients-mostly in Morris, Mercer,Middlesex and Passaic counties- and this all mostly came together in the course of a month.”
Siggelakis has several clients as part of his portfolio in Mercer and beyond, including: Assemblywoman Muoio, Woodland Park Mayor Keith Kazmark, Passaic Freeholder Assad Akhter, Working Families Alliance, and the Morris County Dems. A recent fundraiser organized by Broad Street Strategy for Assad during the Chamber Train trip in DC featuring special guest Phil Murphy netted $15,000.
“I hope to expand my operation in the next few months, and maybe hire a staff assistant, once students graduate from college and the available talent pool widens” said Siggelakis,”With 565 municipalities, 21 counties, and 120 legislators, there is plenty of Democratic fundraising work to be had in the state of NJ.”
