Mikie Sherrill Barnstorms DNC Convention in Chicago

In case you missed it, Mikie Sherrill barnstormed the Democratic National Convention in Chicago last week, highlighting Democrats’ enthusiasm and firing up New Jersey delegates behind the Harris-Walz ticket.

Ahead of Governor Tim Walz being officially nominated as the vice presidential nominee, Mikie appeared on CNN to tout the credentials Gov. Walz brings to the ticket – especially as a military
veteran and member of the Army National Guard for 24 years. You can watch the interview here. She also spoke with influencer Keith Edwards on the danger of Trump’s pick of J.D. Vance as a running mate. You can watch the interview here.

On Wednesday, Mikie was honored at an event celebrating women in Congress with backgrounds in national security – AKA the “Badass Caucus.” Mikie spoke at the event alongside Reps. Abigail Spanberger, Elissa Slotkin, and Chrissy Houlahan, with a special guest appearance from Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi.

On Thursday morning, Mikie headlined the New Jersey delegation breakfast where she was joined by special guests Governors Wes Moore (D-MD) – a fellow military veteran and rising star in the party – and Phil Murphy (D-NJ). Also joining the speaking program was Mike Hellstrom, Vice President and Eastern Regional Manager of the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA); and New Jersey State Democratic Committee Chairman LeRoy Jones and Passaic Democratic Chairman John Currie who gave touching tributes to the late Rep. Bill Pascrell.

Thursday evening, Mikie was honored on stage with other Members of Congress who are military veterans including Rep. Ruben Gallego, Senator Tammy Duckworth, Rep. Jason Crow, and others. Rep. Sherrill recently led a letter from Democratic House and Senate veterans defending Gov. Walz’s years of service in the National Guard.

All while rocking a pair of Chuck Taylors – inspired by Kamala Harris and bedazzled by Mikie’s daughter.
