Monmouth Dems Chair Brown Announces Reelection Bid

Chairman David G. Brown II today announced his intention to seek re-election to the Monmouth County Democrats Executive Board along with Vice-Chair Mary Foster.

“I am honored to be running for another term with an incredible slate of dedicated public servants and with significant support from our party,” said Chairman Brown. “Our work here isn’t finished. Monmouth County continues to build our organization and flip seats across the county. I look forward to having another opportunity to grow our party and lead us to further victories in the upcoming years”.

The full slate includes:

For Chair – David G. Brown II
For Vice-Chair – Mary Foster
For Recording Secretary – Deana Gunn
For Corresponding Secretary – Norma Rosenbloom
For Treasurer – Meg Thomann
For Sergeant-At-Arms – Nicholas Williams

Vice-Chair Mary Foster is once again teaming up with Chairman Brown to continue her decades of commitment to the Monmouth County Democrats. Also returning to the slate for the 2022 election are Norma Rosenbloom and Neptune Township Mayor Nicholas Williams. Newcomers to the ticket include Matawan Councilwoman and Municipal Chair Deana Gunn, who was previously serving in an appointed role, and Freehold Township Municipal Chair Meg Thomann.

Senator Vin Gopal praised the Chairman saying “David has been an excellent leader of our party and I am proud to support his bid for re-election. His dedication and steady leadership has helped us continue to build a strong organization capable of growing our reach and influence, and winning seats across the county”.

Chairman David Brown took the helm in 2017 when then Chairman Vin Gopal resigned to run for Senate. Chairman Brown’s slate has already garnered significant support from democratic leaders across the county, with near unanimous support from the county’s 53 democratic municipal chairs.
