Morris County Flashpoint: Mastrangelo Defeats Neibart

Three incumbent Morris County freeholders appear well on their way to victory in what has been a particularly nasty 2019 election.

PARSIPPANY-  The bitter Republican primary battle between Tom Mastrangelo and Sarah Neibart for the party’s county commission nomination continues to rage.

Neibart was up early but as the clock inexorably moved along, Mastrangelo closed the gap.

Now it’s almost 10:30 and Mastrangelo has inched into the lead by about 600 votes.

Soon, 600 became 1,000.

Mastrangelo looked good.

This is troubling news for Morris Republicans who gave Neibart the county endorsement.

But there are still votes to count.

  1. Hey, great job by Laura Ali. Her party line has lost in both of the races that were competitive. C’mon man.
